About Our Agency

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to look at our profile and allowing us to introduce ourselves. Our hope with this profile is to give you a glimpse into our lives so that you can understand a little bit about us, our family and our home.

We are Ed and Christy and we have been married for 20 years. We met when we were 14 years old and dated all through high school. Although we were apart for 2 years after high school while Ed was away in the Air ‘Force, our hearts were still together and we got married in April of 1989. We hope that you will see through our words and pictures what a stable relationship we have and the love we have in our hearts for our children. We would consider ourselves so blessed to be able to add to our family.

After graduation from high school, Ed joined the Air Force. He served active duty for 14 years and then chose to go into the Air Force Reserves and follow a different path. He retired from the Air Force a few months ago and is working in the oil and gas industry for Noble Energy. He chose this job because it allows him to be home with our boys every night.

Ed comes from a wonderful family. His parents have been married for 49 years. We are lucky that they live near us and are active in our lives. He has 3 brothers, all of whom live in the Denver area. We see them often and spend many holidays with them.

Christy became a Registered Nurse 11 years ago and went back to school to get a Master’s Degree in Nursing and is now a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner. She works for Children’s Hospital and loves her job. She is very gratified to be able to help sick and premature babies and their families.

Christy’s family, unfortunately, lives in different states. We keep in touch with them with frequent phone calls and e-mails and see each other as often as possible. Her parents have been married for 44 years and are just a short plane ride away in Missouri. She has two sisters, one who lives in California and one who lives in Virginia.

Between the two of us, we have 16 nieces and nephews. We love watching them grow up and experience new things.

We both value family and wanted to be parents. In 2005, we were chosen as parents for our oldest son, Joey. We were thrilled beyond belief with him. In 2007, we were chosen again to be parents for our youngest son, Eli.  We were ecstatic to have these two boys who are the best of friends (most of the time!). Our children are the most important things in our lives and we would be so happy to bring home a new baby for our family.

We are very pleased to have open relationships with both of our boys’ birth families. We see Joey’s birthparents and siblings a couple of times a year and Eli’s birthmother 3 or 4 times a year. We try very hard to follow the lead of our children’s birth parents in how often we get together because they each have different needs and desires. We want our children to never have to wonder who they are or where they came from and we want them to be assured of how much their birthparents love them.

We love spending time together as a family and are trying to instill a sense of adventure in our children. We enjoy spending time outdoors, camping, fishing, mountain biking and just exploring.

Something that is very important to us as a family is our spirituality. We are Roman Catholic and belong to a wonderful, small parish that feels like family to us. We think that faith is very important in raising children and we hope to be showing our children God’s love and raising them with strong values that they can depend upon during difficult times.

We hope this letter gives you an idea about what kind of people we are. It seems impossible to be able to convey even a fraction of what we want to say to you with just these few words. We would love to meet you in person and we hope very much that we have that opportunity. You and your baby are in our prayers.

Sincerely,

Ed and Christy
