Dear Birth Parents,
Thank
you for taking the time to read our letter.
We admire your strength and courage in this difficult decision of
considering adoption and we hope you find comfort with whatever your decision
may be.
About
Us –
We
are Scott and Kelly and together with our daughter, Brailey, and our dog, Bob,
we live in Highlands Ranch (a suburb just south of Denver).
Our neighborhood has an extremely family-friendly environment, great
school system, parks and several great trails for walking, running, and biking.
We
have been married for 4 ½ years and have a fun, loving and supportive
relationship. We were blessed with our
beautiful daughter, Brailey, in August 2007.
We have a wonderful adoption story that we share with her on a regular
basis.
Kelly
grew up on a farm in central Nebraska. She has one sister and two brothers. One of her
brothers is married and has 3-year old twin boys and an 8-month old little girl. We love to spend as much time with them as
possible.
Scott
grew up in Eastern Colorado. He has one brother who is married and has a 1-year
old little boy. Scott also has a half
brother that is married. Scott enjoys
spending as much time as he can with his brothers.
Each
of our extended families, Scott and Kelly’s siblings and parents, are a large
part of our lives. Our parents are a huge source of support, and they love
being grandparents to all their grandchildren!
We
enjoy and look forward to spending time together as a family. It’s the simple things in life such as our
walks to the park, reading books, cooking dinner together or just dancing and
being silly around the house that are important to us. We spend a lot of our time hanging out with
our families, friends and their children.
On any given weekend we’ll head to the park, the lake, a walk around the
neighborhood or a trip to the local ice cream shop for a little something sweet! We look forward to the day when we can share
these experiences with your child. We
are also hopeful that your child may become a part of our family, and we can continue
to share more experiences like these together.
About
Brailey –
Brailey
is a fun-spirited, independent little girl who finds her way into typical 2 ½
year old trouble! She is energetic and inquisitive
and fears nothing. Brailey has a silly
sense of humor like both of us. She is a
hands-on type of girl and loves helping/learning no matter what we are
doing. She loves spending time outdoors;
if it’s snowing we are making snowmen or snowballs and if it’s a nice summer
day she enjoys riding her tricycle or playing in the water. Brailey plays well with other children and
absolutely adores babies in particular.
We are certain Brailey will make a wonderful Big Sister and a life-long
friend to her sibling.
About
Scott (by Kelly) –
Scott
is a business owner of a mortgage company in Denver.
He does a great job balancing work and home life and always makes it a
priority, even on the busiest days, to spend time together as a family. Scott is one of the most thoughtful, genuine,
loving, caring and responsible guys I know.
He has a great personality and a very positive outlook on life. He is friends with everyone and is always fun
to be around. Scott completely adores
children and is such an amazing Father to Brailey. He enjoys the outdoors (golfing, boating,
camping, fishing, hunting and 4-wheeling), but still makes time for his family.
About
Kelly (by Scott) –
The
first time I met Kelly I knew right away we had something in common. Kelly is very outgoing and always willing to
help anybody in the time of need. After
a couple of months I knew I had finally found the person I wanted to
marry. She is the most loving, caring
and thoughtful person I have ever met.
One of my favorite qualities of Kelly is that she loves to laugh and
have fun. I can’t imagine my life
without her as she is my best friend and wife.
Kelly is the greatest Mother that any child could ever ask for.
Our
Support –
Becoming
parents has been the most wonderful experience in our lives and we look forward
to the day we can welcome the gift of another child into our hearts and our home. We hope this letter conveys that we are
committed to always loving your child unconditionally in a safe and fun
environment. We will be their greatest
fans, expose them to new experiences and provide a solid education while
encouraging their talents and interests.
We can assure you that your child will grow up in a loving Christian
home.
Thank
you for considering us and best wishes as you make the decision that’s right
for you.
With
Love,
Scott,
Kelly & Brailey
