Dear Birth Parents,
Our
thoughts, prayers, and love are with you.
You are going through something that we can only imagine and we hope
that you are able to find a sense of purpose and peace in your decision. If you decide that we are meant to become a
part of your family by adopting your child, we hope that you might become a
part of our family as well.
Mary comes
from a close-knit family of five that all live in Illinois. Her sister is married with two little boys
(ages four and twenty-two months); her brother and his girlfriend are expecting
a child later this summer; and her parents are extremely supportive
grandparents to a growing group of grandchildren! We visit Illinois at least two times a year
and Mary’s family visits Colorado a couple of times each year as well.
Sean grew up
in Greeley with his brother and both parents.
His mom and dad still reside in Greeley along with his maternal
grandparents. His paternal grandparents
live in Denver. Sean’s family is very
supportive and we visit them regularly. His brother and sister-in-law live in Texas
and we are able to see them several times a year.
We met after
college and married five years ago. We
came to adoption like most: trying to
conceive a child and being unable to do so; but we thought about adoption long before
we learned about our infertility because of a sense of family and community
that we both share.
One of the
happiest days of our lives was the day we received a call from Joanne and Jude
telling us about our daughter, Isabel, and asking us to come meet her at the
hospital in August 2008. We pray for
Isabel’s birthmother every day and love her as a part of our family. We are grateful for the love that she has for
Isabel and we cherish each contact we receive from her.
Isabel is a happy, spirited, strong-willed
little girl who loves to dance, listen and “sing” to music, read books, and
climb on whatever is around. She talks
endlessly and she never misses anything that is happening around her. She also likes visits to the park so she can
try out the slides.
Family life
is made up of spending time with extended family and friends, pancake breakfast
Saturdays, trips to the park, walks with our dog Wrigley, and traveling around
Colorado to see the sights.
Your child
will be welcomed into a loving home that believes in loving our neighbors as we
love ourselves. It is a belief that
guides us in all aspects of our life. We
are both eager and excited to welcome another child to our family and Isabel is
also excited to become a big sister.
Love,
Sean, Mary & Isabel
